The Hills come alive in Salzburg...

The hills are alive exuding inspiration, the landscape provides a base for any creative to acquire a unique foundation for a project. The cobble paths leading around the city alongside the historic facets in every corner provide the perfect setting. Salzburg was one of the most remarkable cities I have visited; unparalleled to most of the world today.

The city retains a artisanal sensibility through the potent historical features and intricate patterns that can be viewed through the city. The Hohensalzburg Castle upon the hills can be seen from almost anywhere, standing over the city creating the distinctive character that Salzburg is defined by. The Mozart house is a much visit showcasing many of his belongings and childhood home, of course the traditional Austrian Mozart chocolate is also a must try. What would a trip to salzburg be without paying homage to the Sound of Music sights; Mirabell palace and gardens and the Sound of music palace Pavilion (This is where 'I am 16 going 17' was filmed) which can be found at Hellbrunn Palace today are amongst my favourites. Apple strudel is a speciality in Salzburg and absolutely delicious.
