Adventures around Paris…

Ponte Alexander Bridge III
Wearing: Sass and Bide Jacket w/ Forever new skirt Coat: 1950's Mansfield England Original
Jewellery: Swarovski Earrings and Bracelets w/ Adorne Necklace

During my Paris trip I collaborated with an incredible photographer Sophie Veu, who was the master behind the lens for these shots. I had some fashion week downtime to spend the afternoon wandering the city of Paris crossing Concord Square, the Petit and Grand Palais' we finally arrived at my favourite Parisian bridge, the Ponte Alexander Bridge III. This opulent bridge absolutely fascinates me and is a wonder to cross, The use of gold and black in combination with the fine ornamental work and precision adds to the elegant and lavish atmosphere of Paris.

Musée du Louvre...

Morning at The Louvre… Featuring the new 'Tanu Vasu' collection
'The resolution' jacket w/ 'Tomorrow' Leggings

'The Resolution' jacket features geometric abstraction carved into raw Italian leather. The patterns are derived from classical Greco-Roman symbols incorporated with art deco motifs. The timelessness of these styles in combination with the raw leather provide an intriguing final design.

Palais Garnier

Palais Garnier… This is my absolute favourite place in the world as mentioned previously… I could spend hours here, this is a building very close to my heart. Of course its stunning but theres so much more to the building than its appearance… I want to share with you my connection with this the Palais Garnier. Firstly It incorporates numerous design elements from a number of eras, I have a strong passion for anything eclectic and this is the ultimate example. I have always been so fascinated by the interiors and exteriors, growing up I spent hours sketching the building over and over again. It was through the density and intricacy of this building that I learnt how to draw detail and convey patterns through my sketches. This building has taught me about history and art simultaneously influencing my design ideals. The greco mosaic floors, byzantium style ceilings, roman elements, rococo pillars oh I could go on and on. As you now by now I'm a huge history buff and this building just happens to combine all my favourite eras and convey it beautifully as a whole. Charles Garnier based the Opera on Apollo through incorporating images of him throughout the space especially in the auditorium. many Greek mythological ideals are incorporated into this beautiful building. The atmosphere itself is so fascinating every time I visit there are numerous people sitting down sketching the extravagant interiors, the creative energy is surreal. I find that it is one of the best places to gain new ideas and empower previous ones. I have previously designed my favourite pieces sitting here, the energy flow is simply divine and the rush of amazement viewing the intricate detail will overpower you. If you visit Paris, ensure to put the Opera Garnier on your list. I promise you'll love simply being in the space!
